JONLUKE MCKIE
About
Jonluke McKie is an award winning multidisciplinary artist who's work spans theatre, music and visual art. His work is socially engaged, working in both professional and community contexts.

As a theatre director he works in new-writing, often supporting writers in the dramaturgical process from the earliest concept of an idea.
As an illustrator he focusses on children’s illustration, portraits and figurative art and maps. He uses both analogue and digital techniques.
Jonluke is an experienced facilitator and community arts practitioner. He's collaborated with organisations including Moving Parts Arts, Rotherham Children's Capital of Culture, Glow, Newcastle Cultural Education Partnership, Rural Arts, Live Theatre, Curious Monkey Theatre, Northern Stage, Seven Stories Centre for Children’s Books, St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice and Northumbria University as well as countless education and community settings.
